How we get personal information and why we have it

 

Most of the personal information VieNess CIC processes is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

 

  1. You have filled out a “contact us” form on this website

  2. You have signed up to the VieNess Mailing List 

  3. You have emailed vie@vieness.co.uk directly.

  4. You have bought an item from the shop

  5. You have donated to us.

 

The lawful basis for processing your information

 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

 

  1. Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting vie@vieness.co.uk

  2. We have a contractual obligation

  3. Legitimate interests.

How we store your personal information 

 

Your information is securely stored by VieNess in cloud services associated with Wix and on a computer.

In order to process your payment for items from the shop and donations we use Wix Payments and Paypal respectively but none of your financial information is seen or stored by us.

VieNess keeps your information for as long as is necessary to respond to your enquiry or to complete a contract. Typically, VieNess will retain information for no longer than a year. VieNess will then dispose of your information by deleting relevant records and correspondence from the cloud and the computer. 

 

Your data protection rights

 

Under data protection law, you have rights, including:

 

Your right of access - You have the right to ask Vieness CIC for copies of your personal information. 

 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask VieNess CIC to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete. 

 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask VieNess CIC to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask VieNess CIC to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

 

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that VieNess CIC transfers the personal information you gave me to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

 

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, VieNess CIC has one month to respond to you.  Please contact:
